Rochelle Lockey

Studied Art & Art History at the University of Toronto and graduated with a joint degree with Sheridan College in Oakville.  Study of Fine Art and The History of Art at the University of Toronto, including courses in Greek and Roman Art, Medieval Art, up to Post-Modern Art.  Studied Art Media practical applications at Sheridan College in Oakville in all media including Photography, Graphic Design, Painting, Sculpture, Drawing, with Gallery visits in Contemporary Art.  Attended an Introduction to Animation course with frame by frame drawings.  Received a D.L. Stevenson & Son Painting Award for First Year Painting at Sheridan College's Annie Smith Centre.  Created Comic Strips and Character Designs Cartooning course at George Brown College in Toronto.   

Graphic Design training with professional tools and supervised training.  Professional submittion of portfolio in slide format and critiquing of independent study.  Main focus on Painting; oil, watercolor, and acrylic, with prefered period styles that include Italian Renaissance, Baroque, French Impressionsism, and Modern Art.  Interest in Architecture, participated in course in Modern Architecture and Toronto Architecture.  Practiced black and white Photography at Sheridan College, and Image Editing using Adobe Graphic Design tools.  Interests in Illustration and Comic Book design, and webpage design.  Created Visual Art using Video Editing tools and short hand-drawn animation clips.  Studied Cartoon Comic strip and page layout designs with hopes of syndication. 

Courses taken in Graphic Design at Sheridan College use Adobe Creative Suite software include Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash Professional, Dreamweaver, Adobe Premiere, After Effects.

Main Goals to be a Professional Artist, Painter in the Fine Arts, an Art Historian, 3D Animator, Web Page Designer, and Illustrator.

The History or Story Behind My Rochelle Lockey Site

Interested in the History of Art and Artists.  I have practiced a wide range of art mediums and seek employment or self-promotion in a wide range of occupational job titles.  My approach to art is generalistic approach and I am interest in anything art.  Under construction is an Art History Article page and blogs.  I enjoy research and study, as well as expanding my practical skills of visual art.  This website was created for the intention of Rochelle Lockey online art portfolio and resume, as well contact information.
